We haven’t done much of anything lately, but are thoroughly enjoying just pottering around town and nattering away with Mandy, the kids and occasionally their extended family. Last night Glenn and I were given a a rare and incredible treat – the girls slept over at Mandy’s mum’s (where they’re all staying) so we could have a night to ourselves. We dropped them over in the afternoon after their nap (we packed their gear and before we’d finalised everything the girls had climbed into their car seats and strapped themselves in because they were so eager to get over there!) and they didn’t look twice as we said goodbye. Glenn and I enjoyed a few drinks and a meal at the pub (there’s either the pub or the tavern to choose from) and while it wasn’t particularly flash, it was such a luxury to just enjoy it on our own schedule.
